We needed to book a room for the night for my graduation from uni, so we went on the internet and booked 2 rooms, a double smoking and a twin non smoking. We got a conformation email and forgot about it. We arrived at the travel inn and the woman says 2 non smoking rooms. We showed her the email we recived and she said sorry we had to change some people to non smoking as we have downsized the amount of smoking rooms avalible. This would have have been so much of a problem if they had contacted us beforehand telling us the problem. The location of the travel inn is good. It is about 5min drive from the town centre and is nearly next door to the spectrum leisure centre, which has a swimming pool, bowling alley and ice rink. The rooms were pretty much as you would expect from a travel inn. Basic stuff, a tv, bathroom with shower etc. They were a good standard and very clean. This travel inn is next door to a pub which served good evening food, and it is where you go for your breakfast. The breakfast was mainly self service, with cerals, muffins and toast, and there is the option to have a cooked breakfast. Overall the actuall hotel was good and the service was mainly good apart from the room changes.
