Premier Inns are usually cheaper at the weekend, no doubt due to the fact that a lot of travelling salesmen need somewhere to stay during the week, however this one just states from from £60 per night > Please note that this does not include breakfast.

We were catching a ferry from Weymouth in Dorset to Jersey at 7am on the Sunday morning. We only live a 2.5 hour drive away, but didnt want to leave anything to chance and also being pregnant, wanted to make life as easy as possible! So we booked into the Premier Travel Inn at Weymouth. It is on the A353 and was 2 miles from the ferry.
We decided to visit the Sea Life centre as we had a free entry voucher from Tesco. I was still shocked at the price though as it cost £13.95 for 1 adult to get in. The centre was ok but I have seen better!
Lodmoor Country Park is quite good, there was a big slide and mini go carts for the kids, and you can park and visit all of the attractions.
BOOKING ++++++++
I always book our rooms online as this is the easiest way to do it. You find the hotel that you want, then check availability for the required dates. You can then choose the type of room that you want and reserve it. You only pay for the room upon arrival and it can be cancelled as close as 1pm on the day that you arrive. We always book a double non-smoking room.
You can check in after 2pm and do not need to vacate until 12pm the following day.
If you are travelling for business purposes then you can open an account with them and charge the room to your business card. They will then take payment by direct debit around 10 days after you have received the statement. My husband is a courier and stays away from home sometimes, so we always use one of these cards.
COSTS ++++++

FOOD +++++
As stated, breakfast is not included in your stay, however right next door there is Lodmoor Brewers Fayre and this provides a full Buffet breakfast for £7.50 for a full selection of cereals, fruit and full English, or you can have Continental Buffet for £5.25.
As we were leaving so early in the morning, breakfast had not started, so we could not try it, however we have eaten in other Brewers Fayres and can recommend it although you can usually get breakfast cheaper down the road in a cafe!
For lunchtime and evening meals, The Lodmoor Brewers Fayre does a wide and varied selection, plenty of pies, salads, steaks and wonder ful desserts, in a range of prices and are constantly updating and changing their menus. They usually have daily specials as well. We have eaten in a Brewers Fayre several times and have usually been happy with it.
PARKING ++++++++
There is ample parking outside the hotel which is free. It did say that they operated a token system with a barrier, but this was not in operation when we where there as we checked at reception, not wanting to be trapped in the morning on our way to the ferry! This seems fair enough to me as it is right beside Lodemoor Country Park and no doubt they get people trying to park there to get it for free!
FACILITIES +++++++++
Premier Travel Inn has a standard range of facilities that you will find in each room. All rooms include an ensuite bathroom with a shower, tea/coffee making facilities and a tv.
"WiFi" wireless network facilities are available. I believe the cost was around £5 for an hour. You can also buy time by the day or week which is a lot cheaper overall.
Our room had shower gel and soap dispensers in the bathroom too. The shower was really powerful and nice to use, and over the bath as is usual. I often wonder if anyone actually ever uses a bath in these places, surely they would be better off to remove them altogether?
There is a notice in the room stating that irons and toiletries can be hired/bought from reception.
The heating control is now accessible for the room and you can adjust the temperature to suit, although it is set to an 18 degrees standard which is quite comfortable. A fan was provided as the temperature outside was quite hot and we did make use of this
There are rooms that have been adapted for disabled guests and this must be mentioned when booking as there is no lift to the upper floors.
We have always found our rooms to be clean and tidy at any Premier Travel Inn and the bathrooms the same.
PERSONAL OPINION ++++++++++++++++++
We booked a non-smoking double room. The room was very clean and tidy and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was fitted with white linen and was a bit soft but very comfortable. There were extra pillows on the cabinet.
The reception was open for 24 hours and the lady who was there said that if we wanted any more tea/coffee etc, then we only had to ask.
Premier Travel Inn are in the process of rebranding and are now known as Premier Inn. This has been very recent.
This was ideally situated for the beach, we tried to eat at the Brewers Fayre but would have had to wait for an hour (we had been advised to book, but didn't!), so we walked into Weymouth, which took around 10 minutes to get to the main part of the town, walking along the esplanade which was lovely. It is probably dearer overall than a B&B would be per night, but for a short break it is ideal.
We noticed several guests leaving at 6.30am as we did, and they all headed for the ferry.
GUARANTEE +++++++++++
Premier Travel Inn also have a no quibble refund policy. We have not used that here, but did complain at another Travel Inn when our shower did not work, and our £48 was refunded in full with no problems.
I can really recommend Premier Inn for a good nights stay and this one is so close to the beach and park, it is brilliant!
I can really recommend the Premier Travel Inn at Weymouth, simply for the reason that it is situated less than 2 minutes walk to the Weymouth Sealife Centre, and also less than a minutes walk from Lodmoor Inn (Brewers Fayre), which the Premier Inn have an all in eat as much as you like breakfast deal arrangement with the Lodmoor Inn, kids eat free if adults pay £7.50 each for all in breakfast.
If you stay over night and ask nicely they might let ... ...is not free. The Premier Travel Inn, is nothing fancy but has the facilities you would expect for price, the rooms are clean and tidy, and it has the standard facilities that you would expect, our room included an ensuite bathroom with a shower, tea/coffee making facilities and a tv. I am much more inclined to visit travel lodges such as the Premier Inn where the price and standard of room is consistent across the country, than take the risk with ...
