I was at Bluewater shopping centre and it was about lunchtime so I thought I’d get a little something to eat. I was in the middle of a shopping spree so all I really wanted was a quick sandwich to keep me going before my afternoon of more shopping. I searched all round for a sandwich place, but kept finding burger bars and fast food places, until I came across pret a manger. I went in to get myself a little cheese salad sandwich but I had slight trouble trying to do this. Firstly, the queues were huge and the place was packed. When I finally reached the food cabinets, all I could find was large, exotic fillings like French brie with grapes and salad with dressing or bacon with avocado and mustard! Yuck. All I wanted was a simple sandwich, not a meal in 2 slices of bread. Being such exotic combinations, they seemed to think they had the right to charge very high prices, so you paid about £5 for a sandwich! I had no alternative sandwiches places so had to settle for a McDonalds!
