Permit me an entrée: "Sasses" was an "institution" among the student fraternity when I came to Norwich a long time ago. It was where everyone took their parents for dinner. It would be some 20 years before I would finally walk through the doors and find out what I had been missing (although it had undoubtedly moved on as much I had in the interim). Its demise was therefore greeted with much glumness in the City - even if the latter proprietors have ... ...We regretted not only the loss of a great restaurant. We worried about the building. We worried more when the 'new Italian restaurant opening soon' signs went up. We need not have done, for what came along was "Prezzo"

I eat in Prezzo regularly. Not frequently enough to be known by name - but enough to get a smile of recognition that is just slightly warmer than the unfailing charm that our host exudes to everyone. Believe me, this man was born ...

I went out on a friday night wight a few girls on a hen night,i am not a rowdy teenager,but a 43 year old mother of 3.and was somewhat dissapointed with our prebooked meal at prezzos.It was a busy friday night and we were showed to our table by a misarable looking girl ,our table was in an upstairs bay window,we sat down and all looked towards the window as there was a real breeze coming through,we thought it was open but the cold was coming through ... ...and not wanting to make a fuss a couple of us put our coats back on.When the waitress came back she asked if we wanted drinks and gave out menus ,we had no candles on the table and the spot lights in the ceiling had a couple of bulbs gone, we could hardly see what was on offer,so i asked one of the younger girls to order my vegaterian pasta for me,after a bout 25 mins 6 of the girls got their meals,me and another girl sat without!!! a different waitress ...
