The Prince Charles cinema is perhaps londons best little cinema. It has been around for ages and is hidden away in leicester Square against a backdrop of the more expensive cinemas.Prices are very cheap from four pounds a film to three pounds if you are member. There is a bar which provides decent drinks and popcorn at reasonable prices. The seating could be better and can be uncomfortable! The hall where the screen is also dips so if you can get a seat in the middle you will be better off.The screen is a decent size for such a small cinema and picture quality has always been good.

Fridays nights have been known to be events nights featuring rocky horror picture show and singalong sound of music. These are events worth a visit.Sometimes the cinema will show films on various themes like gangster, horror, comedy movies from various countries. It will also screen movies which would not see the day of light in the big multiplexes.Independent films are always guranteed a screening here first. The best time i have been was when i saw Croupier and memento there before they were even shown at the bigger cinemas. Both these films were considered to offbeat for the bigger cinemas but after winning awards and crictial acclaim they were taken on by the bigger cinemas.Of course the Prince Charles had already beaten them to it!
Defintley worth a visit ,if only for the cheap cost

Good value for money. Cinema prices can be so expensive. Maureen

I no longer live in London, but I always check out the Prince Charles listings when I'm visiting - in the early 1990's I was a regular at their Monday night Tarantino double bills and they still show some of the best smaller films in London at very good prices. It's nice to know that they're still keeping up that trend!
