Last September, I and 4 other friends went on out first holiday away alone and our destination was Benidorm, staying at the Prince Park Hotel.
Location
The main aim for out hotel was to enjoy the night life of Benidorm, which indeed we could as we were a short taxi ride away or a 10-15 minute walk from the strip of bars and clubs. This hotel was a little further away from the centre of Benidorm than we thought, but this deffinatly was to our advantage as the noisy night life continues through the night, and at the end of you nights out we could escape back to or hotel to get some sleep un-disturbed. The hotel was close to some shops, a hospital and a few local bars.
The room
The rooms as great and very clean, ours had a fantastic view of Benidorm. The cleaners were welcoming and did a good job; rooms had TV’s, Air con, balcony.
Facilities
• Swimming pool • Bar • Night entertainment • Dining area • Lifts • Very clean toilets
Other holiday makers
The other people at the hotel were a lot older than our self’s being 18-19. I would say that the average age was 30-40, this could be because of the time of year, but allot of it is to do with the positioning of the hotel in what’s called "Old Benidorm".
Food
We went full board and the meals were fairly good, we were there for a week and we saw allot of the same meals, but also we saw a good selection on some day’s. There was the traditional Spanish food and some traditional British foods available, and one thing I can say was the bottled beer was very cheap in the dining area.
Staff
The staff there was extremely helpful, we were asking them to ring for taxis over 5 times a day and they were very co-operative, we were able to buy tickets to various attractions. They had 24 hour security which was reassuring.
Nightlife
There was a great variety of bars on the strip, “Lennon’s”, “Chaplin’s” etc, I recommend organising a bar crawl with the hotel instead of people on the street, they work out cheaper and better organised. You get confronted by people selling roses etc, best to either ignore them or tell them you will buy them later, unless you actually want one, and you will find you can get a good bargain. All the bars have people outside trying to get you inside offering free shots (which is true), however you are expected to continue buying drinks and staying in that bar.
It is about 10 minute walk from the Beach.
