I have stayed at this hotel (one of many as my family love lanzarote) and we were lucky enough to get a suite. The accommodation had a large bedroom as well as 2 settes that converted to beds in the evening. You can go on various board basis's, we had Bed & Breakfast, however I think next time we would go Half Board as the cost for evening meals was 36 Euro for adults and 18 Euros for children 3 and over. I must recommend the Hacienda restaurant for breakfast as it had a good atmosphere. This hotel actively promotes itself as a family friendly property, however, the pools were not heated so it could be quite cool out of season (however there is a jacuzzi). A big negitive was the kids club which is located at Kikoland which is outside the hotel. I personally was not happy with this as to me it was not a safe and satisfactory situation. Anyone was allowed to walk in and more likely and worryingly a child could easily walk out. The resort has 2 main areas (the Marina & the resort centre). Restaurants at Playa Blanca were far better than the marina. I must admit I felt the marina was lacking in entertainment and was lifeless. The beach was excellent. It is located just outside the back of the hotel and you can use the blue hotel towels here (which you pick up at the hut). This is a plus in my book as you don’t need to bring any beach towels with you. You do have to pay though for the sun beds on thebeach it cost 5 Euros for two. This hotel backs onto the promenade and beach (there's a nice bar immediately below the hotel by the beach). If you turn right its only a short walk to the restaurants in Playa Blanca. Turn left from the hotel back gate and its a slightly longer walked to the Marina Rubicon area, which is more upmarket but I felt lacked a bit of atmosphere. However if you try a restaurant called Mano you should have a great meal. 2 adults & 1 child, 2 courses with drinks cost 53 Euros. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. It is particularly good for those with a young family (older children may find the nightlife a bit on the dull side). Be careful when you go asschool holidays tend to have masses of children running around the hotel, particularly in the evening, although even then there are still likely to be plenty of pre-school age children about.
