Advantages: beautiful, lovely weather, port aventura, aquaopolis, day trips to barcelona, cheap, safe area, bonavista market, close to airport Disadvantages: rush for sunbeds in the morning!

The swimming pool and hotels facilities were ideal for all the family. The only slight disadvantage is that there was a mad rush for sunbeds by the ... ...from the beach this was not too much of a problem. The food was well presented although slightly bland but this is to be expected when catering for such a large number of guests.
The hotel entertainment is the best i have ever seen. you feel like you should be paying to go and see it!

THE AREA:
Costa Dorada, meaning 'the golden coast' is a beautiful area, the small town of Salou is full of interesting shops and is great to just wander round.
ACTIVITIES: There is plenty to do, Port Aventura is a MUST, suitable for all ages with spectacular shows and a wide variety of rides, it makes a great day out for all the family, although prepare to stay till late to watch the magnificent fireworks and light display. Day trips to Barcelona are another great day out, although perhaps not so much for young children. Snorkling of off a catamaran in the med was something i particularly enjoyed as this two hour trip was organised by our hotel, however i would recommend going earlier in the morning to avoid the midday heat as well as the midday rush! There are a few local water parks, we only visited port caribee, which is part of port aventura, which was enjoyable but involved a great deal of queing and sunburn! There were plenty more activities offered by both the hotel and the area, such as swimming with sea lions and a variety of sports.

The food was well presented although slightly bland but this is to be expected when catering for such a large number of guests.
