Advantages: cheap friendly accessible Disadvantages: bars dont close bad heads
we went self catering last year at the end of may £101 each last minute best money spent on holiday yet, just as the season was beginning so it was very quite, which was great as perissa beach is where apart from the family holiday makers its a haven for backpackers the place though is fantastic,we drank in the local bars one of which had a pool table and only closed when the last person left,it wasnt busy but the atmosphere was great.
we hired a cheap for 2 days at a very cheap rate off a garage in town loads cheaper than through the rep driving on santorini was spectacular and you drive round the whole island in a few hours but there are lots of places to see.

round perissa food and drinks were ...
Advantages: It must be the most photogenic place on the island. Disadvantages: Can be exspensive but you can visit for the day.

The coach depot is a bit caotic because of the number of coaches and people making their way there at the sametime for the trip back. It is best just to keep asking until you find the right bus for your ...

I have spent a week vacationing on Santorini. The reason why I have chosen Santorini over the other 1400 Greek Islands, was my profesor who goes there rugularly and is completely in love with it. All his describing of the island made me decide to go there.
Santorini is a small group of volcanic islands located in the Aegean Sea about 200 km south-east from the mainland of Greece. The Greek islands are devided into island groups and Santorini belongs into the island group of the Cyclades. It's spread on 73 sq km and has a population of about 13,600 people.
1.) TRANSPORTATION
Buses: They were my main form of transportation for exploring the island.
The transfer between the airport (which is about 8 km away from Thira/Fira - »capital« of Santorini) was easy to find, there were plenty of buses that had hotel names written on them - so ...
