Protars is a great resort. We stayed just outside in Pernera, which was a little quiter, and only a short walk along the coast (20mins) The Golden Coast harbour is a nice place to sit and have coffee.The beaches are sandy and the sea warm. Fig Tree Bay gets very crowded but the main Protaras beach usually has plenty of space, most accomodation is only a short walk from the beach. Konnos Bay is wonderful, and often empty. A day trip to the North is a must, would recommend a guy called George..great trip and very imformative.Also a boat trip. The best is the Raptor boat trip, it goes to FamagustaGhost Town, all along the coast around to Ayia Napa.There is a stop for swimming and snorkelling, we fed the fish and had a drink and something to eat. It was a great trip and well worth the money! Hire a car for a few days and visit the Troodos and Lefkara (lace making, silver and some old buildings). We booked our trips through the travel shop next to Herbies Diving in Pernera. The best place to eat was Mojitos in Pernera great food and drink at reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. We loved the holiday and so did the kids!
