Take Your Own Breath Away In the Icy Land of Fire
Review of Tierra del Fuego by  Librelola

Advantages: The mind-blowing scenery, the people, the food, everything...
Disadvantages: None

...is it beautiful! Not very fiery, indeed in the middle of summer, winds can blow your voice away, but that does not matter so much when your breath has been taken away out of sheer JOY! Tierra del Fuego is actually part of Patagonia (Argentinean Patagonia consists of 5 provinces: Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, including all the Argentinean islands of the south Atlantic), but it does deserve to be treated as an entity of its own, for when you get there, you do feel that you have reached the end of the world. You get a sense of achievement just out of being there. There are many ways of getting there; the easiest and fastest is probably by plane from Buenos Aires. There are various daily flights to Ushuaia (Ushuaia is the capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego) from there, which last 3 hours direct and 5 hours... Read review

Polishing the Best Mistake I Have Ever Made!
Review of Punta Tombo, Puerto Madryn, Province of Chubut, Patagonia by  Librelola

Advantages: Spacious, awe-inspiring, peaceful expanses, friendly people.. Delicious food and wine!
Disadvantages: Far but well worth it

...This is actually a "reviewed" version of my Patagonia review, but I couldn't post it again under "Patagonia", so I chose this category instead! ********************************************************************** Patagonia is divided into Argentinean Patagonia and Chilean Patagonia. This review is about Argentinean Patagonia. I could have said this without repeating the word "Patagonia" so much, but you have no idea how sweet this name sounds on my tongue and my mind. Patagonia! Patagonia Patagonia Patagonia. Okay, enough! The origin of the name "Patagonia" is not very clear. Some say it was derived from the Tehuelche's (natives of the region) moccasins' size. The Tehuelches were (they have now been eradicated) very tall and it is said that the shoes (moccasins) they wore made their feet appear even larger, hence, some... Read review

The Land of Fire!
Review of Tierra del Fuego by  mreservado

Advantages: Friendly people and marvellous nature!
Disadvantages: You won't believe your eyes! It's amazing!

...Tierra del Fuego is the southern province in Argentina. It’s that little boot that we can see clearly in the map. Tierra del Fuego means “The Land of Fire” and it is believed to be named like that because of their amazing sunsets where the land and snow seems to catch fire and turn red. Its capital, Ushuaia, is the southern city in the world and it is not famous because of that but because of all its beauty. Moreover, although its sounds like a desert place there are many things to do in there! How to get there? Ushuaia is 3.171 km from Buenos Aires so a coach is not a very good option if you are only interested in visiting ushuaia. But if you are planning to visit the Patagonia go for it, a coach will let you know what’s all about! Although the best thing is to hire a car, the roads there are empty, and when I say empty is empty... Read review
