A good 3-4 hour travel via bus and boat from Manila (a number of hotels already offer 2 to 3 days packages for Puerto ... ...Peak season for Puerto Galera in general though is around April to early June, so better make the reservations or you will be sleeping under the stars! It’s not illegal by the way to bring camping gears and set-up in White Beach (its actually a public beach!).

A good 3-4 hour travel via bus and boat from Manila (a number of hotels already offer 2 to 3 days packages for Puerto Galera), Puerto Galera is perfect for a quick weekend trip away from busy Manila. Most of the places to stay also have their own websites. There are a number of beaches to stay but the most popular would be the stretch called "White beach". This is the place to go to when you want clean fun, open night sky, and plenty of affordable food! Other beaches are more famous for other things like diving and clubs/bars but with very little beach to swim. Big and Small La Laguna do not offer much in terms of beaches but have complete diving equipments and instructors and places to stay. Don't even think of swimming if you are staying in Sabang beach for the water is murky and there are too many boats docked there. Sabang on the other hand is more famous for the bars and clubs (including adult fun), so if you are taking your kids and some friends better stay at white beach!
Next to white beach and still "fresh looking" is Tamaraw beach, another long stretch of shore perfect for swimming and beach sports. go by small boats to Mindoro, where you can make a stop over in PuertoGalera, also a popular beach resort. In Middle-Luzon you can climb the volcano Taal or visit Pagsanjan, the area where the film Apocalypse Now was shooted.
