Bucerias - near Puerto Vallarta.
The small town of Bucerias on the Pacific coast is as far removed from what you would expect from other Mexican beach resorts like Cancun as is imaginable. True, they both have beautiful waters on golden sands but that is where the similarities end.

This tiny town that has just a handful of hotels on the out skirts is very traditional Mexican looking; chickens running round dusty streets, a pretty white church and buildings that are mixture ornate structures and some run down properties set against the backdrop of the ocean.

Though sometimes quite rough the warm waters are a terrific blue colour and when the sun sets on the ocean it makes the long flight from the UK worthwhile.

Puerto Vallarta is 12 miles south if you need to go shopping or see a more developed town, and there are many different excursions from there too. Well worth seeing (and splashing in!) is the beautiful natural fresh water falls known as Chico's Paradise a half hour drive drive south of Puerto Vallarta.

Bucerias is very pleasant relaxed place that makes a very good base to have a chilled out break.

    when did you visit? This reads like a sterile advertisement for a place unvisited. To make a review more helpful, we must feel your PASSION (for OR against) and it needs the personal touch. Even in a sentence you can show this! Think about things you care about when you travel ~ what you wish you'd known before you went (like the temperature in Belarus). . . and update (using "Edit review" link) accordingly ~ for instance, if l go to USA my electric appliances mostly won't work [wrong voltage, and one is AC (alternating current); the other DC (direct current)]; so equipment not designed for both will either be ruined, won't work, or both . . . ~ ! ♥♥ ! ~ ........................................​................... ~ jes ~ ! ♥♥ !
