(+) Beautiful beach hotel in the most buzzing area of Dubai! (-) There is still construction surrounding the hotel, but everywhere has to start somewhere.
The Brand New Qamardeen Hotel is located in the heart of Dubai just off the famous Sheikh Zayed Rd and next to Burj Dubai, the tallest tower in the world. High levels of service, quality and design are apparent throughout the hotelwhich makes it an excellent choice for leisure and business travellers alike. Unlike many of Dubai's hotels this Superior 4 star hotel incorporates beautiful Arabic influences into its design. Guest rooms are a good size with acontemporary design and all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this standard. An excellent choice.
Advantages: The lifeline of Dubai. Disadvantages: Crossing the Creek at peak hours is a nightmare.
...Dubai Creek has been the focal point in the developmet of Dubai since the past100-150 years. Dubai was very famous for pearl trade and the Creek was instrumental in making Dubai a very famous port.
The Creek is about 14km long and divides Dubai into Bur Dubai and Deira. The best way to see the Creek is aboard a Dhow, which is the name given for the traditional boat. Smaller water taxis called Abra are also available to cross from one side to the other . The Shindaga Tunnel is the Tunnel which was built under the creek in the 60's to enable quick and easy access to the most thriving part of Dubai, the Gold Souk. Both the Gold Souk and the spice souk lie on the deira side of the creek.
The Al Makhtoum bridge crosses the Creek and traffic across it is horrendous.
Most Dhow cruises which attract a lot of visitors begin in one...

Advantages: first ski slopes in Dubai, one of a kind, lots to do, family fun Disadvantages: a sore bum from falling down so much!
...The Ski Dubai attraction in Dubai is another one of the Sheikhs attempts to get Dubai on the map as being one of the top tourist areas in the world. This idea was really a case of turning the impossible into possible. As Dubai has all year round sun, beaches etc snow was to be out of the question, although I do remember a few years ago some snow flakes did fall in Dubai. A ski slope in Dubai is unbeleivable but yet a reality. It makes Dubai a place that has everything to offer. The dubai ski dome will also ultimately come in Dubais favour for when they will make a bid for the Olympics because no one can now object that due to dubais climate there is no snow there!
LOCATION
It opened in 2005 and is located on the most used and known road in Dubai, The Sheikh Zayed Road. The ski slope is in the Emirates Mall, another well known place...

Advantages: The most beautiful place I have ever visited Disadvantages: The driving/drivers
...I have recently returned from a glorious 10 days in Dubai. It is the most spectacular city I have ever visited. It has a good mix of new and old and plenty of culture if that is what you like or the main thing on every womens mind SHOPPING. This has to be the ultimate shopping experience there are more malls than you can count and designed in the most flamboyant ways. They house cinemas, Ski slopes, Play centres you name it they have it. The construction going on in the city is mind blowing I stayed opposite the site of the burj Dubai which is going to be the largest residential building in the world and my gosh it is collosal. I would highly recommend anyone from any walk of life visiting Dubai. I couldn't even do it justice in this review. Just go for yourself and see and you won't be disappointed....

A lot can happen in a space of a few years but never more so than in Dubai; it's currently a massive construction site but in the nicest sort of way! The last time I visited Dubai in 2002, I stayed at Oasis Beach Hotel in Jumeirah. At that time the... more
The Burj-Al-Arab (Arabian Tower) is Dubai and the UAE's answer to the landmark symbols of other countries, they compare it to the Eiffel tower (it's slightly taller by virtue of its mast) and other icons.
The Burj is said to be the world's only 7 star more
