I'm 45. My daughter and 6 year old grandson live with me. I'm registered disabled but in 'remission' at the moment. I'm part of an award winning theatrical group (unfortunately I'm still waiting for MY best actress award!)

My friend recently booked a triple room in our home city of B'Ham. This room was booked because 2 university friends were coming to visit and she didn't have room to put them up
They cancelled so she asked if I fancied a night on the town and a posh hotel for the night
I've stayed in several Quality Hotels around the country and enjoyed it but this was the most disgusting hotel I've EVER seen!!
We arrived to find the triple, disabled friendly room she'd booked was not available, so we had to accept a double room. It was on the 3rd floor in a part of the hotel inaccesible to the disabled, so it had to be changed to a double room in a more accessible place. We ARE good friends but I didn't particularly want to share a bed
The room we stayed in was in a poor state of repair, especially the bathroom. The bath was badly damaged and filthy. We were unable to drain the water in the tub as the drainage system was broken (this meant that one of us was unable to take a bath or shower).
There were no towels in the bathroom so I went down to reception where the lovely young man on the desk apologised and said he'd send us some. After 45 minutes they had still not arrived so I telephoned andwas told there were none clean but that some were in the drier. Another 45 minutes later 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel were delivered FOR 2 ADULTS!
in the bar in the evening I waited over half an hour to be served! one bar open at Christmas with only two bar persons serving IS JUST RIDICULOUS.
At breakfast my friend requested a fried egg. We had to wait for over half hour and also had to ask for coffee.
To top it all, I had a migraine so I went to bed. There was blood on the bedspread!
I emailed a complaint to them and my friend wrote. Neither of us has received a reply
Guess who'll never use this hotel again?

Eeek, I had a bad experience at the Quality Hotel in Glasgow and as a result will never entertain using one of their outlets again, although have had a better experience with the Clarion suites which are the next step up in the same chain, but whether this was luck or judgement, I am not sure, and don't intend to find out.
