Embassy Suites
On a recent visit to California, I was booked into this hotel because it was close to places I had to visit for work.
The hotel itself is only a short drive from the airport (it took about half an hour in a hire car, and not knowing where I was going) and is located in La Jolla which is apparently quite an affluent area, featuring banks and houses and hotels as well as restaurants and a rather nice shopping mall.
It's easy to drive into the hotel and should you ask for it there is valet parking in the high rise car park, but I just parked round the back of the hotel.

Hello and welcome, to my review about the QualityHotel in Brighton.
About a month ago, my good friend Rory called me to put forward some ideas as to what we could do for his Birthday, after about 20 minutes in deep discussion and rampant surfing we decided that it would be a laugh to go to Brighton for the entire weekend to celebrate his birthday. Advantages: Helpful staff, good rooms Disadvantages: As with all Scandinavia can be pricey
I stayed here over Easter of this year (2008) which was great even the 3feet of snow was wonderful! Just what you want in Norway!
The hotel as you walk through is very modern apart from the lift....i suggest you take the stairs if you have a lift phobia!! The receptionist was lovely and she spoke english very well!
The only problem we had was when we checked in we were told that a band was playing that night so it might be a bit noisy...fine! By about 5pm we could hear the band playing and it was right below our room! My partner took it upon himself to go downstairs to reception....a few minutes later he came back to the room, told me to pack everything up as they had upgraded us free of charge to a suite! How amazing.. a view of the Larvik fjord and we had a balcony, lounge and huge bathroom and all tastefully decorated!
