Advantages: Sun, surf, sand, golden holiday Disadvantages: Bit touristy
...Australia's Gold Coast really does have it all....golden sands, golden sunshine...a dream destination.
What a place. One morning I looked out the window of our 22-storey apartment to see massive whales frolicking along in the Pacific Ocean, water plumes bursting into the air - no binoculars needed to see such an impressive but unexpected sight.
Australia's ''Sunshine State'', on the eastern side of this huge country, takes in the area from around Brisbane, down to Tweed Heads in the south.
At the heart is Surfers Paradise - 80 kilometres from Brisbane and about an hours drive from Brisbane's international airport.
There's also another international airport at Coolangatta and while that is closer to Surfers Paradise it doesn't accommodate many international flights.
So, you want to know more about the GoldCoast? I...

Advantages: RIGHT IN THE HEART OF THE MUST SEE'S AND DO'S OF FOLKESTONE Disadvantages: PARKING
...are viewable from the leas, but from the sea or the coast walk, the leas cliff hall is simply amazing. Many top quality stage, theatre and music acts appear here.
Beaches:
Folkestone has only 1 sandy beach in the main harbour and is the main tourist beach. Then you have a nicer beach as you walk towards Sandgate. There is a Coastal park for kids, first one of its kinds in Europe I believe and it has huge towers and slides, zip wires and ship wrecks.
The other sandy beach can only be accessed via the warren or walking along the rocks (slippery) when the tide is out.
There is a large pebble beach that stretches for a long way to Sandgate, from Sandgate around to Dymnchurch / New Romney, are some amazing secluded huge sandy beaches. There is one bar called Mermaids, if you want to get a refreshing drink on your stroll along the seafront...

Advantages: Quality, Family Friendly Hotel Disadvantages: Non really, just needs to sort out the sunbed situation
...I have just got back from Tenerife and staying at the Hotel Noelia Sur. My family go to Tenerife every year and this is the second time we have stayed at the Noelia. It has always been known as a qualityhotel, but like many hotels it has its blips.
Our flight was with Monarch airlines and to be honest it did leave certain things to be desired. I was told to expect to pay £10.00 for the inflight meals, which basicaly are crap, but Monarch tried to hit us with a £15.00 bill for them.As there were 7 in my party, this would have been an extra £105.00. I honestly do not think there is a need for such a price, as this would bring in more than £5000 revenue for the company, just for the inflight meals. They already charge a price of £3.00 for a 330 ml can of beer that costs 60p in an off license. On top of this there is a hire charge of £1...
