enjoys a prime location in the heart of the theatres of Broadway, just steps away from the majestic Rockefeller Center, the Radio City Music Hall and all that Midtown Manhattan has to offer. Wheather in town for business or pleasure, at the hotel you will find an attentive, friendly multilingual staff always eager to help you out around the clock with theatre ticket reservation or any kind of booking you might require including sightseeing and transportation. Guests are also offered preferential rates at the New York Sports Club with swimming pool, located within walking distance of the property. The hotel's restaurant, La Prima Donna is now closed for renovation.
...Although the hotel is situated in one of the best locations in New YorkCity (it is a couple of blocks away from the centre of TimesSquare), it lacks a little quality. The restaurant facilities are not up to much, especially breakfast-wise and the rooms are nothing special. However, it is better than most hotels in New York and the location does more than make up for the slight lack of quality. The hotel is situated in a midtown location which is ideal for shopping and seeing most of the NYC sites....

Advantages: Cheap and right on Times Square Disadvantages: A bit on the shabby side
...Hotel Carter is often referred to as a hostel but I wouldn't go that far. Although it's not exactly New York luxury the room was en-suite and was clean and a good size, if a little dated (the carpet on the wall is somewhat different!). The Hotel didn't have a restaurant but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. If you are just after a cheap weekend in the Big Apple you can't get a much more central location than this Hotel which is just off TimesSquare and for the money compared to other NY hotels I think it is great value. Especially since you'll probably spend very little time in hotel room with the rest of New York to explore!...

...I stayed at this hotel in christmas of 2005. You can tell the quality of the hotel just by arriving, your bags are taken and greeted very nicely by the bells boys and hotel staff.
I had a swift check in, which is a benefit because it allows you to travel the huge city straight away.
All the main attractions are very close to your doorstep like central park, radio city and timessquare, anything else you need to see the underground station is very close.
The rooms are very spacious and clean and have a good choice of TV channels including bbc news 24 for any Brits.
But, if my stay is anything to go by you wont spend much time in your hotel room because there is so much to explore in NYC.
Overall, i would reccommend this hotel very strongly, and dont really have any disadvantages to it. The only drawback would be because of the amount...
