...Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow Airport.
Me and my girlfriend booked this hotel 3 weeks before hand and got a great rate of £55 for one night including full breakfast.We got the free airport bus from buchan bus station which takes to outside the main terminal at the airport .When we arrived we were amazed at how close it was actually to the main terminal of Glasgow Airport less than 2 minutes which was very handy for our morning departure.We checked in around 1630 and were told in detail the facility's , restaurant opening times , breakfast times and all check out details by two friendly staff receptionists one lady also helped us with the masses of luggage we had to the room.
We were surprised with the quality of the hotel with it just being a budget hotel the entrance to the hotel resembles the same look in decor as any 4 or 5 star...

Advantages: big city, islands, picture perfect scenery ... Disadvantages: Auckland traffic is a killer
...often they hold great shows and concerts but if not, there is generally something on here that may appeal.
*Harbour Bridge Climb*
I haven't tried this one as I'm not a huge fan of heights but this climb is hugely popular but has an age limit of 7 years old. Sorry kids.

This zoo is pretty good and makes for a relaxing afternoon. Well maintained and good animal displays.

This aquarium has a moving walkway going through the tanks of fish which makes for an interesting view.

An interesting collection of shops and stalls selling everything under the sun. Some good quality hand made art and craft as well as the usual array of cheap and cheerful souvenirs.

...The QualityInn Plaza is a fantastic hotel. With just 40 mins from Sanford Airport and five mins from Sea World, Wet and Wild and Universal Studios and situated on International Drive oppostie Pointe Shopping Mall - it's perfect!
The hotel staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are quite dated but for a 3 star hotel and for the price you pay it's great. In the room you get a kettle, fridge, safe (which is free and doesn't require you to leave a deposit), air con and tv. Plenty of draw space for your clothes. The rooms are a nice size and we had 2 double beds which felt huge.
The rooms are cleaned everyday with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash. Clean bedding every two days and as many clean towels as you need.
The hotel itself has a buffet style restaurant...
