Advantages: Excellent connection to Chester and North Wales, reasonably priced, very family friendly
Disadvantages: Only accessible on the westbound A55, slightly dated decor

Summary This is a well priced and family friendly hotel, ideally located for easy access to North Wales, and an ideal stop off for any holiday in Wales. I stayed at this hotel for one night in October 2009. The Hotel The hotel is just off the A55 about halfway between Chester and Llandudno. The hotel is only accessible from the A55 westbound, and you have to travel to the next junction to travel back to England, which is slightly inconvenient unless you are travelling on further into Wales. The hotel is spread over three floors. There is a small reception area as you enter the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant to the right of the reception desk. The staff who assisted me on check in were a little colder than the normal Holiday Inn staff, but were not rude. The hotel does not have a pool, but it does offer a gym ...

Tulip Inn Amsterdam West - Cheep & Cheerful

Advantages: Cheap, Cheerful and Clean
Disadvantages: Bit far out from centre and good 15 mins walk to tram stop down dark canal path

If you want a cheep but cheerful hotel for a great weekend in a fabulous place then Tulip Inn Amsterdam West is for you. The Tulip Inn Amsterdam West is a 3 star hotel situated in the western area of Amsterdam (3 stars indicates that the hotel has a quality rating). There are 162 rooms, which are reasonably priced and during my stay there, the room was clean and had maid service every day. I stayed at the Tulip Inn Amsterdam West in December 2005 with 3 friends and we booked 2 twin rooms. The trip was extremely good value and was booked through Expedia at a price of £116 each including flights and 2 nights (3 days) stay at the hotel. Advantages: central location, cheap(ish), large room
Disadvantages: hanging space limited, rooms on a walkway

Mack was on the lookout for a holiday in September, and just by pure luck she saw an ad in one of the Sunday papers for half price holidays with Virgin.
