These 1 and a half inch square chocolate topped Australian Crunchie type biscuits are wonderful.
First the information bit:- Tiffin is an Indian term for, Light lunch or snack. I believe that when The British were in India many moons ago,They did the very British thing of taking afternoon tea and this became known as "Taking Tiffin"
Now, the product. Tesco's Finest 5 Belgiun Chocolate Tiffin Squares costing £1.69. (Yes for the size of each one that is expensive) but I like them.
Being Tesco's Finest range they are in the traditional brown cardboard sleeve with the grey and black band displaying the word Finest in white and Tesco in grey. The cardboard part is 10cm's x 6 cm's with an extended back sleeve which gives you the advice, ingredients, nutrition...

I just have to share with you this quick,easy recipe for CHOCOLATE TIFFIN...
Firstly what is chocolate tiffin,well im buggered if i know,this particular recipe is a no cook biscuit,with lots of chocolate,raisinsand crumbly biscuit with a chocolate topping.
VERY QUICK
VERY EASY
VERY FATTENING
HERE GOES
You will need a swiss roll size tin lined with baking parchment
8oz cooking chocolate ( I used half milk and half dark as the dark canmake it too sharp)
8oz Rich Tea biscuits
4oz buttter
2 tbls golden syrup
2tbls sugar
4tsp cocoa
Handfull of raisins
VERY SIMPLY
melt BUTTER,SUGAR,SYRUP AND COCOA in a pan.
Add RAISINS
crush BISCUITS and add to the melted...

...I first tried Tiffin from the Sainsburys' bakery.
I have to say i fell in love instantly.
Very rich and very addictive.
It requires no baking just a matter of throwing everything into the bowl, spreading into a square cake tin and placing in the fridge,
Couldnt be simpler. Give it a go!!
Ingredients:
8oz unsalted butter,
2 tablespoons golden syrup,
8oz quality plain chocolate (50-60% cocoa solids),
300g pack rich tea biscuits,
2oz blanched hazelnuts, chopped,
2oz sultanas,
2oz dessicated coconut.
2oz glace cherries,chopped
Cut butter in cubes, break up chocolate, and place, together with the syrup in a heatproof glass bowl over a pan of not quite simmering water.
Let it all melt together gently while you prepare the other ingredients.
