The hotel itself is located at Willemstad (the capital of Curacao) so it’s very central. Opposite the hotel, there are a lot of very colorful buildings. If you imagine the Amsterdam Street, with narrow building along a canal (Please refer the pictures below). There’s a floating footbridge that hinges open to let boats through. But when we went there last August, the footbridge wasn’t working so there are free transfer boats to bring you to the other side of the town. The boats run frequently from early morning (about 7am) until late at night (about 11pm).
We booked on the internet for double room with the sea view. When we arrived there they shown us a twin room with the sea view and there was a dumped smell in the bedroom and the bathroom, so we weren’t happy at all...

Advantages: lots of sun,superb marine life, excellent hotel Disadvantages: The sea is deep in to swim.
.... They have a Queen / King-sized bed or singles depending on what you have booked. There is a TV (with limited stations) fridge, a spacious marbled bathroom with large shower area and the usual free toiletries and fluffy white towels. There is a large wardrobe with free in room safe and a dressing table with a few drawers. There is a bedside table each with drawers and lamp on each. There is efficient air con in all rooms. Sliding doors to balcony or terrace depending on where your room is based. The views from the room also vary, some overlooking the various pools and other rooms overlook some of the gardened areas. Some have sea view.
The rooms are cleaned to a high standard and towels/sheets replaced daily.
Food & Drink
The food is of a very high standard and is virtually available 24/7. There are two restaurants in this hotel and also...

...CD (about 6 GBP on Virgin) should you wish to investigate it. Obviously since then we’ve had two more built. They all are impressive in their own way and make a great sight as you draw into Newcastle on the train or by bus.
