The miserable experience started as soon as I arrived at the reception counter.A very unfriendly manager told me that my name could not be found on any guest list.He could offer me a room at the maximum rate for 1 night only.It took me the better part of a day to get this sorted out and even though it was his mistake,no apology was forthcoming.

We ended up in a room with a seriously sloping floor,wallpaper peeling off in a number of places,a panel blowing off the bathtub every time the elevator came and went and discovered the hiding place of baby cockroaches under the kettle.

Tickets to a soccer game were delivered to this establishment,could never be found while we were there but returned to the seller 3 weeks after the game.

The complimentary breakfast consisted of dry white bread and persistently long line-ups waiting on fresh coffee.

Conclusion:this is the absolute last resort.
