Hotel staff were friendly and courteous, and service prompt, professional, unfussy, and discreet. Our bags were carried to the room without hesitation. We took breakfast in the room and even though we were told to allow a half hour 'window', it still arrived exactly at the stated time. There was far to much food though.

I recently stayed at the Hampshire for 2 nights during a theatre trip with my partner. As a treat I booked a junior suite (through radissonedwardian.com). At a nightly rate of £261 (ex. It was spacious, spotless, and with a great view of the Square (from the 4th floor). Hotel staff were friendly and courteous, and service prompt, professional, unfussy, and discreet. Our bags were carried to the room without hesitation. We took breakfast in the room and even though we were told to allow a half hour 'window', it still arrived exactly at the stated time. There was far to much food though. I tipped for all services I used, but this was optional and my own choice. Be aware that in the restaurant/bar the tip is automatically added to the bill, but is still optional. I was particularly impressed that at the end of our stay a member of the reception staff ordered our taxi then waited 10 minutes outside for it to arrive while we sat in the bar. My only criticism was that shortly after we arrived a cleaner came into the room without knocking (she thought the room was empty). She was very apologetic and reported the incident to reception herself. They phoned us within 5 minutes to offer us a bottle of wine, which was brought up, by way of compensation. With theatre tickets etc. the was by far the most expensive weekend break I have ever paid for. A 'last minute' holiday abroad for a week would have probably been cheaper, but luxury is what I wanted, and at the Hampshire luxury is certainly what I got.
Advantages: Location on Leicester Square Disadvantages: Noise
The Radisson is a nice hotel, well located overlooking Leicester Square. The Room i had was a good room of a decent size, spotlesssly clean with good quality furnishings and a well appointed good sized ensuite bathroom. My room overlooked Leicester square. The bedroom was large enough to hold a business meeting in. The hotel was booked online and not particularly expensive (laterooms.com or discountcityhotels.com)
On checking in the staff appeared ... ...Unfortunately my memory of the Radisson is not one of good service, good food or a good room it is of an incident of poor service which ruined the experience of my stay at the hotel. The Radisson has a policy of adding a service charge to everything. If a drink is bought at the bar then a service charge is added to the already exorbitant bar prices. I waited for 10 minutes at an empty bar until a bar man sauntered up. I Ordered my drink and then ...
