You certainly get what you pay for!

Advantages: fantastic hotel and facilities
Disadvantages: price

The Radisson Edwardian Mayfair is a hotel that I have had the pleasure to stay at on a few occasions now. The hotel has stood in its current location since 1927, however it is only within the last decade that it has been owned by Radisson Edwardian and has recently undergone a large refurbishment. *The hotel - first impressions*

The hotel is located in up market Mayfair and is in walking distance of Bond street, Piccadilly circus and Green park. There are excellent transport links and the location is just around the corner from Green Park tube station.

Good location for shopping (especially for Bentleys or Porsches) or sightseeing, plus plenty of local restaurants (Benares is nice - Indian). ...

Disappointing

Advantages: Location
Disadvantages: Service

I stayed at the Mayfair Inter-Continental a few months ago and for a five star hotel I found it very disappointing. The room I stayed in was very pleasant but the service however was not. I had to keep reminding the staff of things I had requested. Going to breakfast in the morning was a palava, we had to go out of the hotel and across the road just to eat. The hotel was situated in a very nice area of Mayfair and close to the tube and main attractions ...
