The Radisson Edwardian New Providence Wharf is a luxury 4 star hotel. I stayed in this hotel just 2 weeks ago for one night at a price of £150 - I had this on Last Minute.Com as a Top Secret Hotel. I chose this hotel due to the close location to the O2. The location is spot on with fantastic views, little did I know that between the hotel and the O2 is a river! This meant 2 tube rides to get to the O2.
The hotel is very glamouros, clean and has good security. Check in is at 2pm, I arrived at 1:55 and they wouldn't allow me to check in - bit mean I thought! Check out is at 11am. They did take my luggage from me while I sat in reception until 2pm.
The rooms are very modern with a bathroom that has a shower and a nice deep bath. You have a flat screen tv, access to the internet (you have to pay) and a CD player, alarm and lovely soft lighting. You can't get to any floor in the lift without your room key which means no strangers can wander the hotel. The leisure facilities are all free but they are lacking on a swimming pool. You have the option to have spa treaments and these you have to pay for.
Room Service....... Hmm, this leaves alot to be desired. I ordered a pizza at 11:30pm (the late room service menu is appalling, ranging from fish pie to fruit and pizza, a total of 5 items on the menu!) Anyway, at midnight my pizza arrived - it was the wrong order. I rang down to find they didn't answer the phone! Kept ringing for 10 mins and at last they answered! They came to collect the wrong pizza and another 30 mins brought my correct order. Lovely I thought until...... the pizza base was covered in Mould!!!!!! I telephoned reception to complain and my answer was "I'll let them know"
On checking out I was then charged for my pizza, I again complained and the receptionist was not interested at all. They took the cost of the pizza off my bill but I wasn't offered so much as a cup of coffee as compensation.
This is s stunning hotel, room service is dreadful and reception staff are certainly not interested once you've checked in! Overall I wouldn't pay £150 to stay there again for 1 night. I think the Hilton for Customer Service is far superior. It's a pity as the hotel is new and looks fantastic! If anyone is going to stay there watch out on the room service!!!
