world opened in Minneapolis in 1909. Named after Pierre Esprit Radisson--the great French explorer who visited Minnesota in the 17th century--the flagship Radisson Plaza Hotel has now been transformed into the perfect haven for guests of the 21st century. The modern hotel on the site of the original has undergone an $11.5 million total renovation, with classically-elegant yet luxuriously-comfortable decor to make you feel pampered.
Advantages: As Close to The city centre that you can be Disadvantages: We could not think of any.
..., it is difficult because this is a typical corporate Radissonhotel, with Marble floors and large atrium style reception. I guess what is memorable other than its key location, and lovely staff is the magnificent Dinning room / resturant which serves both fantastic evening meals as well as the sort of "satisfying a need" food such as club sandwiches and great burgers. The breakfasts however were outstanding with one of the largest selections of hot and cold, fresh and traditional breakfast fare. It is everything you would want from a SAS Radisson with the added bonus of a prime location, and lets face it if you are going to Helsinki, it is the location that you are after and the style and comfort of the hotel is a bonus... and the Plaza gifts a lovely bonus....

Advantages: Close to Beveley Hills Disadvantages: Location is a bit dodge....Dont go out at night without a bodyguard!!
...but with slow staff .....nightmare.
We where lucky to get an upgrade to a mini suite, but again the room wasnot very nice. The king bed was lumpy, and the room as well as the rest of the hotel needed refurbishment in my opinion. The main problem was noise of the traffic and air con units in the room.General lack of maintainance was also a problem as both the sink and coffee maker had problems.
Ive stayed at a lot of Radissons in my time and would have said until this hotel that they are an excellant chain offering first class service. This hotel was a let down and should not have the Radisson name, as Radisson is a chain I link with QUALITY and this hotel didnot have any of this!!!.Ths only good thing to point out is that this hotel had a burger king straight across the road...shame the staff there didnot speak english!!!
The hotel did have a small...

Advantages: Great Tourist Attractions, Nice Beaches, Hot, Cheaper in some places than the UK Disadvantages: Long Flight, Not easy to get around
...Since I was a teenager I had always wanted to tour Australia, and finally as I hit 18 I booked my first visit to Sydney. From the minute I stepped on Emirates Airlines I was satisfied. It was a fabulous, unforgettable experience.
I flew from London Heathrow to Sydney and spent three weeks staying in Hotel InterContinental Sydney, which was probably the most expensive but luxiourus hotel I have ever stayed in. I spent the first two or three days relaxing at the hotel, going to it's gym, the pool and having a look around the city.
We spent the time looking at the tourist attractions, including The Sydney Opera House, where we dined and watch a production, which was absoultey spectacular, we did a Captain Cook Dinner cruise around the Sydney harbour which had a tasty menu, which we enjoyed and ofcourse I could not leave Sydney without...
