Advantages: Secluded, good location Disadvantages: Breakfast could have been better
...I recently stayed in the Radisson roe resort in Limavady, Northern Ireland. The hotel itself is primarily aimed towards golfers, with it' own golf course, but I went as I know the Radisson is a good hotel chain & also the spa facilities looked gorgeous.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of the town of Limavady, about 20 miles from the city of Derry, & about 60 miles from Belfast. It is located beside the end of the new Limavady bypass, so is easy to find. It is also signposted well from the town itself.
The hotel is located along a windy long road, which takes you past the golf course. The hotel itself is a collection of buildings all enclosed in a walled garden. The hotel complex consists of the actual hotel, the spa building, a restaurant, a grill bar and the gold facilities. The hotel itself is massive with a bar area...

Advantages: Location, equipment provided Disadvantages: Builidng work when we visited
...We stayed here in May 06, which perhaps was not the best choice as there was building work going on in the hotel the first week and the pool was was closed the second week for more building work. There was also a new building being constructed across the road! Have been back to Broadbeach this year (not to the Phoenician) and all building work seems to be complete. The resort is well situated with the main restaurant area of Broadbeach around it. The Oasis shopping centre is across the road, and a monorail connects with Conrad Jupiters hotel/casino (didn't make use of the casino but they do have an excellent show there). However it is a short walk from the beach.
Our room was at the Oasis end of the resort and had three balconies. It was a very good size with combined lounge/dining room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There was air...

Advantages: New, Spacious Disadvantages: Out of the way, expensive, no facilities
...Just come back from a week in the Radisson Golden Sands Hotel (October 2007). The Hotel and Rooms are clean and spacious, however beds especially the sofa beds are every uncomfortable. The food is very expensive and unfortunately is nothing special. Good view overlooking the small beach, and good outdoor swimming pools. Bring your walking boots as the hotel is miles from anywhere. There are no shopping facilities apart from a small gift store, a jewellery store, and a poorly stocked excuse for a food store. Overall comments and experience, overrated, overpriced, not a 5*, out of the way, and no facilities. NB: Beware the timeshare reps as they are out to get you. We also experience very bad weather for the week, cold, wet, and very windy and this might have also tainted our view....

I have just returned from a short skiing holiday to Norway where our party of 8 (4 Adults and 4 Children) stayed in this wonderful hotel. Our accommodation was half board. The rooms were comfortable, with private bath or shower, WC, mini-bar, cable TV... more
This weekend just gone me and the missus thought we'd go off on a short break in London. We chose the SAS Portman Hotel since its location was fab and the price fell within our budget of £300 for 2 nights. We had heard only good things about this one so... more
The reason as to why I bought my PSP was simple; I wanted to play a game that I was simply addicted to when I used to go to the arcades when I was on a family holiday at the seaside. The game was Out Run and was originally released back in 1986, the... more
This review of the hotel will be a bit limited as I only stayed there for one night in April 2007. I arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning so this is merely my impression of the room and check in/check out.
I went to Gothenburg on... more
