Just come back from a week in the Radisson Golden Sands Hotel (October 2007). The Hotel and Rooms are clean and spacious, however beds especially the sofa beds are every uncomfortable. The food is very expensive and unfortunately is nothing special. Good view overlooking the small beach, and good outdoor swimming pools. Bring your walking boots as the hotel is miles from anywhere. There are no shopping facilities apart from a small gift store, a jewellery store, and a poorly stocked excuse for a food store. Overall comments and experience, overrated, overpriced, not a 5*, out of the way, and no facilities. NB: Beware the timeshare reps as they are out to get you. We also experience very bad weather for the week, cold, wet, and very windy and this might have also tainted our view.

Always good to get this type of information but the majority of Ciao members look for a fair bit more detail. Ihave just concluded a hotel review based on a nights stay which is probably too long but it may give you an idea of what you could add to improve your ratings. I and others will re-rate if you decide to update and let us know.

Interesting point of view for a starter! What was the location like - near a beach or way up in the bush with a million steps down to a tiny strip of beach? How did you get around - taxi, bus, bike, or just on foot (even from the airport)? Did you travel on your own itinerary, or with a tour operator? Lots more questions than aswers are prompted by your review... but if you wish to edit and drop in a bit more detail, it'll get you better ratings.
