Advantages: Location, Location, Location
Disadvantages: Pricey-ish

This weekend just gone me and the missus thought we'd go off on a short break in London. We chose the SAS Portman Hotel since its location was fab and the price fell within our budget of £300 for 2 nights. We had heard only good things about this one so we booked at Lastminute and paid £240 for a Superior room with breakka. Or breakfast, in English. If we had booked through the hotel's own website it would be nearer £300. Where is it, then? The hotel is located just off Oxford Street, opposite Marble Arch tube station. It has easy access by tube, since Marble Arch, Bond Street and Oxford Circus are within walking distance, and many buses stop nearby. Even night buses! I don't need to tell you how good Oxford Street is for shopping.... but I will. All the major chains are there, plus its home to some of the biggest department stores ...

Great airport hotel

Advantages: Nice room and fab location
Disadvantages: can be pricey

The Radisson hotel at Manchester Airport is probably one of the more well known as it has now been there for quite some time and unlike a lot of others around the Airport, hasn't been bought out over the years and renamed. The hotel is set right in the heart of Manchester Airport so that all three terminals are easily accessible from it and it is easy spot if you are coming off of the motorway to the Airport as it is set right at the bottom of a hill in front of the main roundabout at the airport that has all the flags of the world on it. Room: The rooms at the hotel are all a decent size - they have various room types and the lower floors consist of the standard rooms and the higher floors have the upgraded rooms. Radisson SAS 4 ****Hotel Charles De Gaulle Airport

Advantages: Near Roissy Charles De Gaulle Airport
Disadvantages: Situated in a business area

There is a free shuttle service running from the airport terminals and vice versa, however they are only small and only carry around 7 people at a time. The hotel is situated in a business area, so you can not really walk around to see nearby villages as it is really quiet and a bit eerie after dark. The hotel itself is clean and tidy,we had trouble to start off with as our keycard would not work to open our room, so had to be allocated another keycard and another room, this keycard also did not work so we were allocated a third card. Check in however was quick, the shuttle service should in my opinion be larger to carry more passengers as some people had to wait for the next one.
