Advantages Advantages Close to airport and railway station, high quality hotel

Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite expensive, adjoining rooms are noisy!

The Radisson SAS Hotel Manchester Airport is conveniently located between all three airport terminals, the coach and rail stations within the Manchester Airport complex. It seemed ideal for an overnight stay as we had to be at the airport at 5.30am for our flight to Portugal. It is just 12 miles from the centre of Manchester. There is direct undercover access via the Skylink walkway. There is a moving walkway for those who want to use it. I did find it needed some ventilation as the temperature was very high on our return. There are 360 air-conditioned rooms in a variety of styles. Italian ... more

Advantages Advantages First class airport hotel ideally located

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a cheap option

I have stayed at this hotel twice in 2005 on each occasion staying just one night before catching flights home to Jersey Location ---------- The hotel is the only hotel linked directly to Manchester Airport. It is reached via the covered Sky Link which links each of the airports three terminals. From the furthest terminal (three) it is about a five to ten minute walk depending on how fast you are - or how late you are for the plane! Manchester City centre is only 12 miles away and in a car this would take about 20 minutes. Alternatively you could catch a coach or train from the airports ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice room and fab location

    Disadvantages Disadvantages can be pricey

The Radisson hotel at Manchester Airport is probably one of the more well known as it has now been there for quite some time and unlike a lot of others around the Airport, hasn't been bought out over the years and renamed. The hotel is set right in the heart of Manchester Airport so that all three terminals are easily accessible from it and it is easy spot if you are coming off of the motorway to the Airport as it is set right at the bottom of a hill in front of the main roundabout at the airport that has all the flags of the world on it. Room: The rooms at the hotel are all a decent size ... more

Advantages Advantages Location, room size, friendly service

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price, Cavernous size, Cleanliness

And so the travels continue... Bearing in mind I do not naturally like travelling to Manchester (it just RAINS too much, alright!), staying in an airport hotel for a week is probably one of the few things that could negatively influence my views on being in the city in the first instance. So I thought I'd hedge my bets, build up some more Goldpoints and stay in the Radisson knowing full well that any pains at work in the week could be reduced in perspective once I headed for my bed. Previous Radisson experience has been located in Leeds, and what struck me about heading to the same chain in a ... more

Advantages Advantages The staff, the size, food

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive (although it was a suite)

Ok going back two years now, I took my then fiancee to this hotel en-route to a romantic getaway. She didn't know what was happening but I had booked her off work for a week. I won't go into the fine details of it but we turned up at the hotel (quite strange that the lobby is not on the ground floor but on the floor accessable via the airport walkway) and booked in. The staff were very courteous (even though we felt like we were in our scruffs compared to everyone else) and particularly helpful. The lobby receptionist did however make a mistake and say we were booked into a standard room, I ... more
