A fabulous hotel to stay !
Advantages: Four Star Hotel with fabulous food and excellent facilities. Friendly staff and easy access to skiing. Disadvantages: None experienced

Each night a three course buffet was prepared with over 15 different main courses to choose from and a vast array of beautiful desserts. Breakfast ... ...tasty food.
The service from the hotel staff was friendly and if your requred additional help or assistance, they would do everything they could to oblige.
The hotel itself is set in a quiet location up the hill from the town centre of Lillehammer. As well as hosting Kings and queens, it was the official residence of many dignitaries during the 1994 Winter Olympics. It has a new sports and piano bar, Apres ski lounge and beautiful ... more

Each night a three course buffet was prepared with over 15 different main courses to choose from and a vast array of beautiful desserts. Breakfast was again a buffet with a wide healthy range of tasty food.
It has a new sports and piano bar, Apres ski lounge and beautiful terrace, indoor swimming pool, sauna, fitness room and solarium.
In addition to this the hotel has it's own Children's playroom which is supervised most days between 16.00 - 20.30. We stayed over the Easter break, and special activities such as Treasure Hunts and Magicians were provided in the afternoons for the children.
Twenty minutes away from the hotel is the nearest ski/snowboarding resort of Hafjell. There is a free bus which picks up and returns you to the hotel several times a day. This service is reliable and very easy and as Hafjell has ski and boot lockers, there is no need to bring your equipment back and forth with you, although the hotel does have a ski store if required.
This is a fabulous hotel in a lovely town which sits on the banks of Norway's largest lake Mjřsa. The rail, taxi and bus links are all very easy and efficient.
Norway is an expensive country, and with that in mind this hotel is very reasonably priced.
Finally, I am embarrased to say, there is no language barrier, as everyone speaks perfect English !
