...Color Line, or Fjord Line as it is now called, sails from Newcastle twice a week on evening sailings to Stavanger and Bergen in Norway. The ship is Norwegen owned and operated and I would call it a cross between a car ferry and a cruise liner.
I went on a three day break to Stavanger and the price was very reasonable (two nights on the ship and one in a hotel in Norway) The ship has a range of cabins and restraunts to suit all tastes. There is also a small casino, pub and a lounge that puts on nightly entertainement although I would recomend getting a seat early for this, as it gets full very quick.
I feel there could be more seating areas on the ship and prices on board are a little expensive but I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting a small taste of cruising and Norway....

...The SASRadissonhotel in Dusseldorf is one of the city's premier hotels. The hotel is located an Golzheimer Platz half way between the city centre and the Messe, or exhibition hall. The hotel is also conveniently located on the tram line which makes access to the convention centre and the city very easy. It is only a fifteen minute taxi drive from the airport. The hotel boasts two restaurants as well as a swimming pool and well equipped gym, for those who want to make use of the facilities. The prices are relatively high, particularly at fair time, and at this time the rooms are almost impossible to get, so book very early....

...This hotel lives up to the name of radissonsashotels.
I stayed at the hotel for one night and it was very comfortable, ensuite rooms complete with complimentary toiletries.
mini bar is well stocked and the beds are very comfy.
breakfast is of a buffet style with plenty of options cooked irish breakfast to cereals and juice.
the staff are very pleasant and it is in a handy location close to the bus and train stations.
It is close to the centre of Galway and is an ideal basis for the arts festival or the races.
The hotel has a large bar area and an outside decking area. It is also has a nightclub but you cannot hear it from the rooms.
the hotel is family friendly but not usually in the price market for them....
