Being an Englishman myself, it is interesting to sea the city where my forefathers made the mistake of underestimating the American people.
Boston offers far more than history. Although there are several historical places to visit, Boston has beautiful countryside and many attractions. Cape Cod is an hour away, offering some wonderful beaches and seaside attractions. Salem, famous for Witches and witchcraft is very close too.

Advantages: great shopping, great sports team, great historic sites, great attractions, 6 hours away from Europe. Disadvantages: i can't think of any
...BOSTON is one of the best cities in America, i should know because i am from there. Boston is a great city it isn't to big. There are great shopping places Copley Place and Newbury Street and don't forget The Galleria. Best for shopping on reasonable budgets. If you go there to see the scenery then the best is the Duck tour, its great, Boston also has a lot of historic sites. For sports I remember having a great time watching the Boston Red Soxs, they are amazing. When I went I stayed in Nahant in Little Nahant, it is a great place to relax and go to the beach in the summer. I love Boston, I visit it every summer, its overall a great city to visit, there is something for everyone....

...The Hub of the World is how Bostonians describe their city. In many ways, they are correct. Boton has an excellent public transportation system, which makes traveling around the city and surrounding areas with out a car very simple.
Boston also has many amenities to offer the visitor. There are a variety of restaurants to chose from to suit a range of pocketbooks.
Boston also has a thriving theatre district.
There are a number of dance clubs and discos within the city, playing a variety of music.
Accomodation tends to be on the expenseive side, but bargains are possible for the careful shopper.
There are also a number of museums. There are three major art musuems, an aquarium, the Museum of Science, the Children's Musuem, as well as a number of smaller galleries.
