...Hotel Amrey Diagonal was great find. I booked via Otel.com and was charged 44pounds for a double room for one night. Including breakfast. I was expecting a run down hotel in the middle of nowhere but what i got was amazing. The nearest metro stop is Glories. And outside the metro is the tram system. Get on the tram and stop at station at Pret IV. The stop is virtually outside the hotel doorstep. The breakfast was simply amazing. The food was actually good especially the scrambled eggs. And there was enough variety for every sort of diet. Ham, cheese , fruits, fruits juice , coffee , tea and also muesli and even bran flakes. The room that I got was room 1101. On the 11th floor. The view was simply amazing. From the room I could see Palau Nacional, Sagreda Familia and another castle , which I think is a castle outside Barcelona. Try... Read review

...WOW. Well i stayed at this hotel for a week during the recent MS IT Forum and what a fantastic location. This hotel is located next door to Barcelona's premire conference centre and a fantastic shopping mall. The hotel itself is exactly what you expect when you think Hilton, very plush reception and bar area staffed by some extremely friendly staff with great language skills. the service is superb and professional yet not pretentious like some high class hotels. The rooms themselves were out of this world, luxurious and very comfortable with amazing views of the city. From my room i could see across the city taking in Gaudi's cathederal and the olympic village. Transport to/from the hotel is ideal, Trams run very efficently and economically, the metro can be a little crowded but outside of peak times is fine, a lot better than the london... Read review
