The Pool Tables Gone, But The Pubs Better
Review of The Raglan (Wokingham) by  Andy.mack

Advantages: Friendly Quick Service, Central Location, Good Beer, Much better than it used to be
Disadvantages: No Pool Table, Prices of Pints but thats a problem all over town

...I suddenly remembered the other night that I had started to do a pub crawl round Wokingham, in order to sample the delights of each hostelry so I could tell people about it. Well having restarted this virtual pub-crawl it was time for a visit to the Raglan. This never used to be a regular place for us but quite recently we seem to be going there more than anywhere else, but there is a reason for it, which I’ll get to in a minute. The Raglan is located about ¾ of the way down Denmark Street before you get to the Dukes Head (my last pub op). With this area of town undergoing a bit of refurbishment, what with the old Tesco being refitted into a pub and restaurant there seems to be a lot more happening down this way now. As not to be left behind The Raglan, formally The Lord Raglan has undergone a complete refit. It never used to be one... Read review

New Zealand- everyones idea of paridise
Review of General: New Zealand by  louisG

Advantages: lots of relaxing and beautiful sights, as well as the odd extreme sport
Disadvantages: may rain more than expected

...Passing through the 'long white cloud' into Auckland was a breathtaking start to my long awaited holiday. Volcanoes were dotted around the city, breaking the long rows of bungalows speading out from the main city. However, when i finally got off the plane to walk around for the first time in 13 hours it was raining. This was to be a common occurance during my five week stay, although the sun that did break through was scorching. Heading out of Auckland we travelled up the Northland, a beautiful rain forest covered spit of land. The northland was one of the main highlights, containing huge Kauri trees, beautiful bays, and plenty of dolphins. A excellent idea would be to take the Twin coast discovery road, which circles Northland, passing through many points of interest. Make sure you stop at russel in the bay of islands for some... Why oh why not visit the Wye?
Review of Wye Valley by  frkurt

Advantages: Fun, historically interesting, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: None

...and shopping make this quaint town pleasant. Monmouth is a place that has traded hands between England and Wales often in history. Many fine restaurants, with traditional English and Welsh menus, can be found along the high street and side streets here. Not too far off the Wye Valley Walk, but still on the public transport bus route, is Raglan Castle. Raglan is a very small village three miles west of the Wye River (maybe a few hundred people at most) in the shadow of the ruin castle, which is quite dramatic. This is a castle of adventure and climbing -- a prominent castle in the Wars of the Roses, a castle that withstood siege for a long time during the English Civil War, the Main tower still shows the crumbling damage from the final assault (a polygonal structure with a few outer sides missing, thanks to Cromwell's pick-axes). The stone courtyard... Read review
