I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. Hotel Geneagles, Torquay. very faulty

Advantages: non
Disadvantages: room poor, food cold and extra unexplained charges

The Best Western Gleneagles describes itself as been located in a chic area of Torquay which is about 12 min taxi ride from the station, It boasts 41 modern rooms many of which have ocean views and all of which have private balconies, all rooms are tastefully designed with en suite bathroom, TV, hairdryer and hot drinks refreshment tray. Prices can vary depending on the time of year you visit this hotel and if any special offers are present. I myself was attending a trade show in Torquay and required a smoking room of which I was informed this hotel has 11 such rooms for those wishing to smoke, the rest of the hotel is of course non smoking to comply with regulations. The Palace Hotel, Torquay

Advantages: Fantastic Business Hotel
Disadvantages: None

As a business Women I rarely have time to sit down and write a review on a place I have been to. However on this occasion, I have made time as the Palace hotel in Torquay, which I recently attended for a conference, was outstanding. The luxury and status of the hotel clearly shined through in both the exterior and interior appearance. The large rooms where clean, well styled and extremely practical, providing myself with a very high quality experience. After the conference, I retired to a cosy and exceptional room where I was pampered with a deluxe bed, modernised bathroom and fresh fruit. Moreover I was able to spend the evening socialising with colleagues over a game of snooker and a first class glass of wine with a friendly and well mannered group of hotel staff.
