We had heard good things about the Rainforest cafe from a friend and so decided to go. We didn't book but just turned up on the day.

The restaurant was easy to find. They also have a shop in the building which is selling cuddly toys, plastic animals etc. You walk over a bridge to get in to the restaurant and when we were there it was not busy and we were seated straight away.

It is as you would expect rainforest themed with big animals that move every so often. There is a thunderstorm about every hour with sound and lighting effects. There is also a big aquarium full of fish.

We looked at the menu and saw they were serving some nice food as quite high prices.

There are plenty of meat fish and vegetarian dishes to choose from.

Some of the starters on offer are:
Sunshine Bruschetta - Mozzarella, roasted red peppers, rocket, cherry tomatoes, avocado, garlic, balsamic and virgin olive oil on a grilled sunflower, apricot and honey bread.

Leaping Lizard Mezze - Hummus, minted feta cheese and marinated Greek olives served with grilled rosemary and garlic bread.

Rio's Chicken Crunch - Breaded crispy chicken fillet tenders served with honey and mustard dipping sauce.

Some of the main courses:
Mountain Goats' Cheese Salad - Goat's cheese medallions coated in couscous with sun-blushed tomatoeson tossed friseé

Rainforest Plant Burger - Roasted red peppers, mushroom, black olive tapenade & baby rocket in a toasted bun with tzatziki, Monterey Jack cheese, fries and salad garnish.

Rasta Pasta - Sautéed chicken, pappardelle pasta, broccoli, red peppers and spinach tossed with garlic sauce.

Deserts include:
Chocolate Brownie, Cheescake Brulee and Sticky Tikki Toffee which is a toffee flavoured suet sponge.

There is also a children's menu and the main foods are pastas, pizzas and meatballs.

Above is only a small selection of what is on the menu.

Available drinks are: Soft drinks, Cocktails, Coffee, Tea, Wine, Fresh Fruit Juice, Smoothies and bottled beer

I haven't rated this yet because you haven't mentioned much about the food. You could add some more detail and then you'd get higher ratings and more community points. Let me know if you do edit and I'll come and rate. xxx

What's on the menu there? Some insight into the food and drink served is always useful with a restaurant review! Lexy
