Rainforest Skyrail to Kuranda, Cairns

It takes about 30-40 minutes to go up the Sky Rail to Karanda and there is also a scenic railway. Depending on which option you go for you can go to/from using either or a combination and costs vary. I would recommend booking a daytrip as coaches collect and drop you off at your hotel. Be aware that it is often very busy with group bookings and there can be alot of queues at busy times. The village of Kuranda is north of Cairns and there are two excellent ways of getting there. One is by rail and the other, which i took, is by skyrail. I did not book to take the skyrail, I just turned up on the bus that you book a return on from Cairns. The skyrail is like a cable car thats seat around 6 people, but as I turned up by myself I had the car to myself.
