Advantages: Impressive architecture Disadvantages: Too much hassle to stand and admire it
...A visit to the Palace of the Winds in Jaipur can be a bit of an anti climax. Having imagined it standing in isolation in beautiful palace grounds it is somewhat disappointing to find that it is situated directly on the main road running through Jaipur. Our coach stopped on the same side of the road as the palace which meant that for a reasonable photo you had to cross the road. This is no easy feat in Jaipur. Traffic hurtles towards you, yet we were warned that rushing across the road is more likely to unnerve drivers and cause an accident than an unconcerned amble. Another hazard in attempting to cross the road is the danger of tripping over men women and children trying to sell you all manner of items. In all, it was a rushed and hassle filled moment. There is absolutely no chance of just standing, staring and considering...

Advantages: Amazing Architecture, Great Silver Stuff and Artifacts, Excellent Cultural Heritage, Hospitable People, Great Food Disadvantages: Pathetic Traffic, Pollution and Crowd in the Old City, Watch out for a rare Stray Buffalo
...looking for. The return to the haveli was pleasent with car's windows down and God's Air Conditioner perfectly at work.
Day two started with sumptuous breakfast andwas pleasently spent in the market shopping for Rajasthani furniture, shoes and some amazing silver jewellery. With shopping done another round of Safed Maas (Little less spicy than it's Red cousin) and plain rice followed and then we set out to soak ourselves in the rich cultural heritage in form of forts, museums and palaces. These are found in abundance in Jaipur and each one has a story to tell. Other places to see within the city are Jantar Mantar, The City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and some really cool museums. Rajmahal - the landmark cinema theatre in Jaipur should be visited for an experience of what the royalty enjoyed if not for one of the new movies playing there...

Advantages: Heritage Disadvantages: Temprate and arid zones
...The call of unknown and unseen lands casts a magic spell in the mind of a tourist and drags him there.
The geographical diversity of Rajasthan,
an Indian state, and the folktales associated
with it attains the dimensions of dreamland
for the state.
The varied landscape is from the towns built by the rulers of the erstwhile princely
states, obviously dotted by palaces and forts,in the midst of the rugged Aravalli range of hills to the barren terrain of the
mighty ‘Thar’desert.
Indian Railways are the best mode to transport one thru’ the state though good
motorable roads offer equal advantages
in transportation.Both project breathtaking
views of the route through hills, rugged
landscape and kilometers of sandladen roads.
Journey starts from Jaipur, capital city of
the state, known as ‘Pink City’ because...
