Advantages: Clean, comfortable, reasonable price, good staff Disadvantages: Expensive breakfast
A couple of month's ago we were invited to accompany some friends in the Midlands on a night out at the Buffet Island Restaurant in Birmingham - which turned out to be amazing and I have written a review on it if you are interested.
Since our friends do not have any spare accommodation we decided to book into the RamadaBirminghamNorth Hotel in Cannock very near to where our friends live.
We just wanted one night's comfortable accommodation for a good night's sleep before travelling home to North Wales the following day.
Where is it?
Well it is listed as BirminghamNorth but it isn't in or near Birmingham - it is actually in Cannock just off the Birmingham Northern Relief Road. The address is Watling Street, Cannock, Staffordshire WS11 0DQ.

The Room I received was clean, tidy and had lots of space in it, there were two double beds and it allowed smoking (as I ...
Advantages: Clean spacious rooms Disadvantages: Customer service levels lets the hotel down

ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN
The hotel was easy enough to spot from the main road as it has a large sign in front to indicate its presence. We drove into the car park at the rear of the hotel and managed to find a parking space. There were also guest parking spaces at the front of the hotel and underground parking available with a lift to bring you up to reception. The car park has around 80 spaces.
We were able to enter the hotel through the rear entrance and went to reception which was just a few yards away. There were two sets of people checking in but we didn?t have to wait as one set had just ...
