Ramada Dolphin Beach Resort, Taba

Advantages: Temperature, Swimming pool, gorgeous beach, cheap
Disadvantages: Food, constant badgering, flight and airline

...We went to the Marriott Beach Resort at the end of August, the last week of the peak holiday season. We flew from Manchester direct to Taba International which is about 30-45mins away from the resort. The flight on the way out was at 1.55pm on a Monday, which is the only day and time you can fly out there. From Manchester there is only one tour operator who provide holidays to this particular part of Egypt called \'Peltours\', and the airline is \'Astreus\', a fairly new airline, and also a very small one. This particular airline have very small planes, seated 3 at each window with a small isle in between. If you are travelling as a couple, please request seats next to each other on the plane, as we made the mistake of not doing, and we were seperated on the way there by the aisle. Advantages: Beautiful, comfortable hotel, perfect for de-stressing
Disadvantages: Long way to do any day trips anywhere else

...I have visited this wonderful hotel twice now, both times in the middle of the UK winter and it is a fantastic way to escape the cold! You can pick up some really good bargains for either half board or all inclusive on the internet- the first time was particularly cheap, and once you get there there really isn't much to spend your money on - I think our final bill for extras was £34 for a one week trip, and that was mainly for drinks and the odd snack here or there. I think the prices have stayed low because of continuing fear of terrrorist attacks in the area, and the first time I booked I hadn't actually heard about the Hilton in Taba being bombed and was quite apprehensive! Actually, as I discovered, this area of Taba heights is in quite a different situation from where the Hilton is - as it is in an area set well back from the main... Read review

Advantages: quiet relaxing break
Disadvantages: no where to go in the evenings really so need more entertainment in the hotel

...We went to taba in the easter break 2005 ,we landed at taba airport and had about a 45minute drive to the hotel ,and at first i thought what a building site as we drove through the mountain area ,but when we reached our hotel it was out of this world true 5 star luxury .please note security is very intense and a little off putting at first but is for your own good and you do get used to it guards are even located at the boundaries of all the hotels and on the beach .This really is paradise the hotel is one of only a handful in taba heights all mainly 5star like the sofitel and hyatt regancy and all situated on the beach of the red sea you really are isolated ,this is the perfect holiday to just chill and relax you really are isolated no shops or roads to walk down just the beach front .you can get a bus on the hour everyday to water...
