Stayed at the Ramada Encore on 04/12/08. This is a very modern hotel within walking distance of the city centre and within easy reach of the M1. Situated in the "Hub", this is a devlopment of offices, hotels, bars, restaurants and shops including Nando's, Ha Ha bar & grill, Starbucks,and much more. A discounted rate of curently 20% is offered off the price of the room (buffet breakfast also included) if you have either ski/snowboarding lessons or recreational ski timebooked at the snowdome. I had snowboard lessons booked in the following day at xscape and managed to get the room and breakfast for 2 adults for £72 instead of £90.The hotel is very clean, rooms and bathroom are decorated to a high standard. The bedrooms all have wooden floors, flat screen tv, wifi access (charge applies), hairdryer, noise from other rooms can get quite loud due to the fact that as the floors are all wooden. The hotel website also stated that sky tv was provided in all rooms, infact this was only 5 chanels with a really bad picture. Alround this is a great value hotel compared to other hotels in the same area costing as much as £119 per night.'The Receptionist was slightly rude upon checkout but this was probably due to the fact that they had been on front desk all night! I would definatly recommend this hotel.
