Advantages: Large comfortable rooms, good views from rooms
Disadvantages: No entertainment, no shuttle service

This was the first hotel we stayed at when we went on holiday to Orlando in 2003, it was then known as the Wellesley Inn but I think changed to Ramada in 2004. It is well situated on International Drive, Orlando for all the attractions and restaurants on this 1 mile long stretch. The room was extremely large with 2 queen sized beds and plenty of space to move around. It had a sectioned off wash area and bathroom with shower over the bath, microwave, safe, fridge, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, desk etc. Unlike some hotel rooms in Orlando the bathroom was a separate room, some of the others had a room with bath/shower and toilet which was lockable, but the washing area was just sectioned off, meaning you had to warn other people in the room that you were about to wash your "bits." Ramada Jarvis-Christmas Party Night

Advantages: Beautiful location and not too expensive
Disadvantages: Not being able to book online for this package

Having already spent a very nice short break at the Ramada Jarvis Gourock Hotel for my birthday a couple of years ago we decided to book the Christmas Party Night for the 16th November. I know it’s a bit early to be celebrating Christmas but for us it was just an excuse to get away for the weekend. The Ramada Jarvis Gourock is situated on the Firth of Clyde, within easy reach of Glasgow Airport and the city centre. It is also handy for beauty spots like Dunoon and Greenock. The Christmas Party Night package includes, for £40 per head, an overnight stay with Christmas dinner and disco (finishing at 2am) and breakfast the next morning, as well as full use of the hotel facilities. Amazing Airport Accommodation

Advantages: Very convenient for the airport, New, Stylish, Comfortable
Disadvantages: The breakfast could have been better

I must admit that I had some reservations about staying in the Ramada Jarvis Glasgow Airport. I had stayed in airport hotels before now, and in my experience they were generally built to be functional rather than welcoming, as guests only ever stayed one night on their way to or from a flight. They tended to be noisy places as well, with the sound of flights taking off and landing (and often heavy traffic) intruding during your stay. In short, they were places you only stayed in if you had to, out of necessity rather than pleasure, and they did nothing to enhance your holiday. In this case though, I really did have to ? living in Newcastle, I was never going to be able to get to Glasgow airport in time for a mid-morning flight without staying overnight in the city.
