Ramada Inn - SeaWorld Area, San Antonio

Ramada Inn, International Drive

Advantages: Large comfortable rooms, good views from rooms
Disadvantages: No entertainment, no shuttle service

This was the first hotel we stayed at when we went on holiday to Orlando in 2003, it was then known as the Wellesley Inn but I think changed to Ramada in 2004. It is well situated on International Drive, Orlando for all the attractions and restaurants on this 1 mile long stretch. The room was extremely large with 2 queen sized beds and plenty of space to move around. It had a sectioned off wash area and bathroom with shower over the bath, microwave, safe, fridge, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, desk etc. Unlike some hotel rooms in Orlando the bathroom was a separate room, some of the others had a room with bath/shower and toilet which was lockable, but the washing area was just sectioned off, meaning you had to warn other people in the room that you were about to wash your "bits." Groundhog Day in San Antonio

Advantages: Great city, plenty to do, see and eat
Disadvantages: Go in season

Square area Supposedly the authentic side of San Antonio, but then full of tourists. Apart from a couple of good restaurants the main reason for coming down here is to shop around the numerous indoor shops selling Mexican souvenirs. Don't be surprised however to find many of them selling the same stuff. Still, good fun for an afternoon shop followed by a strong margarita! (See also Food and Drink). Tower of the Americas Built in 1968 the Tower of the Americas is pretty hard to miss on the San Antonio skyline, not really surprising as it?s one of the biggest in America. Situated in the Hemisfair park area it?s an easy walk from downtown or one of the tourist shuttles. Review of San Antonio

Sea World - Nr. San Diego

Advantages: A great day out for all the family
Disadvantages: The shows were timed too close together

and the majority enabled you to see the park in it's entirety. The facilities were good and there were lots of places to eat and drink. We did not see all of Sea World on our one day there but I doubt you could get two full days out of it. I found it an extremely good quality excursion and it beat Disney hands down for me. ...
