My wife and I stayed at the New Yorker Hotel between 20th - 25th May 2008. The staff were always very helpful and curtious. The room decor was a little dated, but clean and tidy. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment, but the work was not noticeable to the guests. The "tick-tock" diner is located in the front entrance of the hotel, which was very good for breakfast, with a great service! The hotel location is great, with the subway just outside the door. It is a couple of blocks from the Empire State Building and Macy's department store and a couple more to Time Square. We recommend this hotel for its comfort and location, after all if you're staying in NYC - the hotel is just a place to sleep! :-)
