We went to the Marriott BeachResort at the end of August, the last week of the peak holiday season. We flew from Manchester direct to Taba International which is about 30-45mins away from the resort. The flight on the way out was at 1.55pm on a Monday, which is the only day and time you can fly out there. From Manchester there is only one tour operator who provide holidays to this particular part of Egypt called \'Peltours\', and the airline is \'Astreus\', a fairly new airline, and also a very small one.
This particular airline have very small planes, seated 3 at each window with a small isle in between. If you are travelling as a couple, please request seats next to each other on the plane, as we made the mistake of not doing, and we were seperated on the way there by the aisle. There is absolutely no room on the plane whatsoever ...
Advantages: friendly people, rooms, pools, public areas very well looked after, different themes everyday Disadvantages: food variation... but what was out was tasty!
. Unfortunately as stunning as the beach was, it was filled with beach sellers everyday so no sunbeds or relaxing down there! The complex also had a group of monkeys running around which were so funny and were great fun to watch... just make sure you close your balcony door when you go out!!!
Animation were very good, all different activites throughout the day although did leave you alone if you wernt interested. However if you take part you will get colored beads that you can swap in the gift shop, which is probably one of the cheapest hotels gift shops i have stayed in!
Evening entertainment was not too great, even the caribbean do it better, they do try, but we gave up by the 3nd night and chilled out in the bar.
They also do different tours every day to local attractions which look good, but we didnt do as only there for a short time.

to tell what was in each dish. The restaurants did different theames every night, such as Italian, Chinese, Indian, South American to name a few and there was always a chef cooking food fresh for the diners which I thought was a nice touch.
The hotel has a scuba diving centre atatched where I took part in 2 scuba dives. The staff were fantastic and I would urge anyone wanting to dive to go here, the visibility was amazing and the staff put you at ease and were very professional. The prices were also half of what you would pay here to dive.
There are protected coral reefs along the beach attatched to the hotel which you can snorkel over so even if you are not keep n scuba diving, you can snorkal for free and get an amazing view of the different varieties of fish - really is something to be seen.
