Advantages: Beautiful scenery Disadvantages: No real disadvantages
...From a viewpoint of natural beauty, the Sea of Galilee is very promising. But there wasn’t really all that much to see (or did I just miss it.) Tiberias has a few nice archaeological sites and you can rent a bicycle if you want. You could go to Capernaum and other sites related to Jesus’ life. But if you go by yourself you’ll have to wait for the bus and probably walk 4-5 kilometres. And all there is to see is a synagogue. And you can’t even get in there if you’re wearing shorts (a common, if understandable, phenomenon in religious sites in Israel)....

Advantages: many sights to visit, great scenery Disadvantages: aparthied society without the international condemnation, Israelis are very rude, prices becoming similar to UK ones
..., cities, kibbutzim, Moshavim and villages have been arranged in contrast to the more naturalistic israeli palestinian villages. You then notice that palestinian villages are bypassed by the routes, that more Israeli houses are being built near these villages without the villages being allowed to expand and that hardly any arabs use the buses or in the Israeli towns. Hmmm.. strange. Having said that, Galilee is a splendid region to visit with the scenery around Tiberias reminiscent of Switzerland. Lake Tiberias or Kinneret is very splendid to swim in and you can hike around the Horns of Hittin where the Crusaders were defeated by Saladdin. Haifa and Acre on the coast are worth visiting as well, the Bahai temple being a highlight in Haifa and the old fortress of Acre bringing back memories of the Crusades. In the far north, There is the Golan...

Advantages: theres always somthing to do- be it internet cafe, tennis, or swimming Disadvantages: the jealousy you'll behold when you see the larger owned apartments with private pools!!
...I've visited this resort 7 times, each time staying for two weeks.
I found the atmosphere friendly, the workers at reception helpful and english-speaking and there was plenty to do at the resort.
There are many pools around the resort, nearby newsagents, a spa, tennnis courts(with childrens instructed lessons available) and there are plenty of parking spaces around the resort, not to mention the wonderful golf course, with golf lessons and instructors.
The apartments are well equipped with decent comfortable beds, bed setees and televisions. My apartment had two bathrooms, one being ensuite, both with baths and overhead showers.
There are at least 2 lovely beaches walking distance from balaia village and the resort is very near the main shopping village.
Fantastic resort....
