Advantages: Friendly staff, clean Disadvantages: Pricey, can have a few problems
My partner, daughter and I stayed at this hotel a couple of times when we go and visit the family up there.
From the outside the hotel looked beautiful and clean and looked really big, as soon as i stepped in the doors i was weary but the staff are all nice and always had a smile on their faces.
The hotel could do with a bit of a lift inside, the rooms wasn't as big as expected from the outside but was well furnished with all your little pieces ( trouser press, tea/coffee etc)
The restaurant was nice with all your traditional food, the waiters and waitresses all know what they are doing and don't mess around, there was one complaint on the next table about a steak wasn't cooked right and the waiter offered to change it straight away, The waiter then came back out and said the steak was all from the same bit lot and it will ...
Advantages: Lovely location, excellent food and staff. Rooms were great. Disadvantages: A bit remote, Noisy shredder in the toilet.

There were ground floor rooms available for the less mobile.
The grounds of the hotel were lovely and it would be an ideal location for a wedding. There were events on in the hotel every day and night of our stay and although we were in the room above, we were not disturbed at all. The staff remained polite and extra helpful although they were clearly busy.
We booked this hotel with superbreak and got an unbeatable deal for the May spring bank holiday weekend. We would say that the Ennerdale countryhousehotel is not the ritz, but for great value for money, lovely central surroundings great food and rooms it's certainly worth a look. ...
Advantages: Close To Manchester Airport Disadvantages: Too Many To List, Needs A refurb, Needs A Good Clean, Noisy
BACKGROUND
*******************
Ahh the Britannia CountryHouseHotel, a couple of miles from Manchester airport, the perfect place to stay the night before jeting off on our honeymoon, thought my new wife and I in August 2006. We booked online and only paid £64 for a double room with champagne on arrival, and it looked so modern and the name countryhouse just added to the picture in our heads what a perfect start to our honeymoon. How wrong can you get.
ON ARRIVAL AND CHECK IN
**********************************
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon having got married on the Thursday and stayed a couple of nights at the hotel we had got married in, and as we parked on the large car park to the front and walked up to the front we noticed there was a wedding going on and they were having some photo's taken outside, the exterior ...
