Not since Douglas Adams’ fictional Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy described the Earth as ‘mostly harmless’ (the first edition just said ‘Harmless’) has there been a phrase better designed to give the impression “Move along, ladies and gentlemen, nothing to see here”.
