    “Mostly Harmless” If you are familiar with the phrase 'damning with faint praise' then you'll get the joke (whether it was intended or not) in the Lonely Planet guidebook to Iran which describes the town of Takab as 'not unpleasant'. Not since Douglas Adams’ fictional Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy described the Earth as ‘mostly harmless’ (the first edition just said ‘Harmless’) has there been a phrase better designed to give the impression “Move along, ladies and gentlemen, nothing to see here”.
